Mass-Transport of Atherogenic Material and Atherosclerosis

My project topic is mass-transport of atherogenic material and atherosclerosis in the coronary artery based on patient specific geometry. Coronary artery is the most dynamic artery in human body circulation. FSI modeling between blood and blood vessel caused by pulsatility is critical to figure out the biomechanical effect to pathogenesis of Atherosclerosis. In our modeling Medical image processing is implemented for the geometry of coronary artery and LDL (Low density lipoprotein) distribution in the blood based on dynamic environment is calculated and compared with other already-proved atherogenic biomechanical factors in distribution on the blood vessel.
